OMG. I had a very interesting day today. After work, I was catching the Flyer bus back home, and when we got to this roundabout in Lower Hutt, another bus, a school bus, crashed into us. Or really, it sideswiped us and took out all the windows on the left side of the bus.

Because of the kind of glass they make bus windows out of, the windows completely shattered and we all got covered head to toe in glass, but the glass wasn't sharp at all and everyone was completely uninjured. But the glass was everywhere. Like seriously. In my hair, in my shoes, up the sleeves of my jersey, even in my underwear. I got some in my mouth too but I managed to spit it out.

The regular Lower Hutt bus came past a few minutes later so we all got to go on that, and the school bus that hit us stopped to see if we were all okay. Weirdly, their bus wasn't damaged at all, but all these school kids on it were like, "OMG, are they okay?"

So yeah, I finally got on the other bus and got home, but my clothes were itchy all the way walking home because there was still so much glass in them. Every time I stand up I still keep shaking out lumps of glass. I managed to take a photo of the bus on my phone too. So that was my excitement for the day.
